My First Visit

We very much look forward to your first visit to Summit Woods.

  • Getting here
As you can see from the map, you can enter the Summit Woods parking lot from the south on Blue Parkway (Outer Road) or from the north on Shenandoah Drive. At this point, Blue Parkway is gravel in front of the church – so you may prefer to come in from Shenandoah.
  • Parking
At the front of the building, you will notice guest parking on both sides of the front circle. Please use them, there are plenty of spaces and they are for YOU! There are also spaces designated for disabled parking and for new and expecting moms.

  • Greeters
As soon as you come through the front doors (if not before) you will meet a friendly greeter ready to assist you. The greeters hand out the Sunday bulletin and also have facility maps and information about various ministries. Have a question? The greeters are there to help!
  • Pagers
If you have a child in one of the nursery or toddler classes, you will receive a vibrating pager. This will give you peace of mind as you are in Sunday School or the Worship Service to know that your child’s teachers can notify you anywhere in the building.
  • Sunday School
We have small group bible study available for all ages. The Sunday bulletin has a list of all the classes with the teacher’s names and classroom numbers. You will notice that adults have options, so we encourage guests to feel free to try various classes before deciding which one is right for them.
  • Worship Service
Come on in and have a seat. Don’t worry, we don’t ask our guests to stand up or do anything to cause attention! If you don’t have a Bible, there is one for you at your seat—one that you are welcome to have as a gift. Just focus your mind on the Lord and what He has in store for you in this time of worship.

For children, there are nurseries available for babies and toddlers as well as a Preschool Church for 3-to-5-year-olds. The Children’s Church for kindergarten through third grade is dismissed just prior to the pastor’s message.
