Little Lambs Preschool is a ministry of Summit Woods Baptist Church. This page provides some quick details about our exciting new preschool ministry.

Programs

  • Pre-Kindergarteners
    • 9:00am to 11:45am - Mon/Wed/Fri
    • $130 per month
  • 3's and 4's
    • 12:15am to 3:00pm - Mon/Wed
    • $100 per month

Eligibility

  • Your child must be at least
    3 years old by July 31st
  • Your child must be toilet-trained

Our school year

  • Little Lambs' school year begins after Labor Day
  • All holidays, breaks, and snow days follow the schedule of the Lee's Summit public school district
  • The school year ends the middle of May

Enrollment

Little Lambs has a limited enrollment and enrollment is taken on a first-come, first-served basis. A $40 non-refundable registration fee is required to reserve a space for your child. Enroll early to ensure your spot.

About us

Little Lambs' director is Hollie Shippy. Hollie received a bachelor's degree in elementary education from William Jewell in 1993, and has taught for four years in the public school system. She was a stay-at-home mom with her two sons, and then ran a preschool out of her home for two years after the boys started attending school.

Hollie is excellent with children. She has led numerous child-centered activities and is currently serving as VBS director and AWANA games leader at Summit Woods.

Additional staff will be hired according to final enrollment numbers. All staff of Little Lambs will be degreed and certified teachers.

Our purpose

Little Lambs is a child-centered program driven by Christian values. We provide learning activities that allow children to develop socially, emotionally, physically, intellectually and spiritually.
