Tim Stricklin - Youth Minister
Tim Stricklin has served as Youth Pastor of Summit Woods since November of 2004. Tim and his wife, Lori, were married in August of 1998 and have 3 sons! Blake was born on 04/22/02, Cole was born on 10/03/05, and Cade was born 06/11/07.
Tim grew up in Warwick, RI and came to know the Lord as a child during one of the annual VBS events at First Baptist Church in Warwick, RI. He became aware of God’s leading on his life with regard to ministry while a freshman in college. He is a graduate of Bob Jones University (Bachelor of Arts – Student Ministry) in 1997 and Northland Baptist Bible College (Master of Arts in Biblical Studies) in 2002.
He is passionate about leading students to understand all that they have in Christ and he is enthusiastic about helping them grow into their roles as the next generation of servant-leaders. Through the use of in-depth Bible study, leadership teams, small group lessons, casual time together and exciting events, Tim’s goal is to mentor our students into being committed followers of Christ. He believes that this is the type of life each believer desires and is thrilled that he gets to spend his time working with students and gearing them up to accomplish this kind of life.
Tim is an avid sports fan and loves all things New England. He is convinced that his Red Sox are the greatest team to ever play the game and that his Patriots are worth all of the time that he spends worrying about them. Tim is very excited to have two (soon to be three) boys and enjoys every minute he gets to spend with them and his amazing wife, Lori. He is determined that each of them will share in his enthusiasm for the Boston sports scene. He is also pumped to be able to be apart of the many “growing up” moments that take place with his boys and is very thankful for the sanity that Lori brings to their lives.
